Dublin, Ireland, 20 July 2020 – Orphan Drug Consulting today announced the opening of office space in Boston, Massachusetts, and the further growth of its US-based consultant team with the appointment of Christy Webb as a Quality Assurance consultant. This further expansion into the US market by Orphan Drug Consulting addresses an increased demand for its expert consulting services and follows on from the recent appointment of Tanya Quinn as a Supply Chain consultant in the New York/New Jersey Metro area.
Christy is based in North Carolina and brings over 24 years of Quality Assurance (QA) industry experience gained through her independent consulting company, Breakwater Quality Solutions, along with previously held senior roles in Synageva BioPharma, Novartis, Biolex and Salix Pharmaceuticals. Christy’s subject matter expertise extends over both API and Drug Product, commercial and Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP). Her experience supporting multiple formulations (sterile, solid oral dose, vaccines, DEA controlled substances etc.) coupled to her wide-ranging QA oversight of GMP storage, manufacturing, testing, packaging, labelling, disposition, and distribution makes Christy a great consulting resource.
Christy has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Campbell University in North Carolina and has completed coursework as part of a Master of Science in Clinical Research.
